内容記述 | This paper describes development of field information management system for precision farming (PF). Precision farming consists of GPS-navigated farm tractor with field sensors, user interface (clients) which supports making application map for actuator control, and PF field information server. In the system the user interface is implemented by web browser with Java Applets. The field information server consists of geographic information system (GIS) kernel, PF application modules, database management system (DBMS) for file management, and Java Servlets which link the other components up. For the GIS kernel and the DBMS, GRASS GIS and PostgreSQL are chosen, respectively, for their extensibility and Java compatibility. For the PF application modules which are built in the system, primarily, a PF actuator planning engine, a path planning engine, and a plant simulator are designed. | |||||
